Notting Dale Technology Centre (NDTC) was established in 1979 as an educational charity organization to provide training and job opportunities in Information Technology for young people, the long term unemployed, migrants and the local business community.
The centre offers customised training courses for local employers and their staff. Employers or self employed people can gain access to a variety of training materials and hands-on experience using up to date software packagesand equipment. NDTC is a major local provider of quality training for people interested in business applications of Information Technology. Our main training programmes include Internet Training, Network Training (Y.T), Digital Arts and Graphic Design Training, Desktop Publishing and I.T courses for local unemployed people and I.T courses at local Housing Estates for the unemployed residents. Training is delivered in a modular and hands-on format and in a flexible and supportive environment. The centreis registered with City and Guilds of London and Royal Society of Arts to deliver National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ) at levels 1, 2, 3 and 4. NDTC has established strong links with the Kensington & Chelsea College of Further Education and the local employers to enhance the centres' training programmes. NETWORK TRAINING FOR YOUNG PEOPLE IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AT NVQ LEVELS 1,2,3
A quality training package, which includes top of the range comruter Hardware and Software facilities and modular training materials
National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) from City & Guilds of London and the Royal Society of Arts (RSA) in Information Technology
Literacy and Numeracy support leading to Wordpower certificate from RSA at levels 1&2
Workplacement period with local employers leading to employment subject to your performance
Training and Travel allowances of 40 pounds per week on average depending on your age and travel expenses
No knowledge of Information Technology and computers is required but you must be between 16 and 23 years old and have a National Insurance number or have applied for one.

The training programme will cover:
Computer & computing
Database applications (Access 2.0)
Spreadsheet applications (Excel 5.0)
Wordprocessing skills (Word for Windows 6.0)
Desk Top Publishing (Pagemaker & Corel Draw 5.0)
MS-DOS & Windows
Access to Electronic Mail and INTERNET
